Delivery Issues – Missing Parcels Despite “Delivered” Status

Lately, I’ve noticed a growing issue with eBay deliveries. When we place an order, we provide full delivery information — including the complete address and phone number — yet many of us don’t actually receive our parcels.

In many cases, the tracking shows “Delivered,” but there’s no proof of delivery at all. Sometimes the parcel is left in an open or unsafe place, handed to a neighbour without permission, or it simply never arrives. Delivery drivers rarely call or text before attempting delivery, and often there’s no delivery photo or signature confirmation.

It’s becoming really frustrating and disappointing for buyers. We trust that our parcels will be delivered safely, especially when we’ve provided all the correct information. I believe eBay should take stronger measures to ensure couriers provide proper proof of delivery — at least a delivery photo, or a call/text before dropping off parcels.

Has anyone else been facing similar issues recently?

Re: Delivery Issues – Missing Parcels Despite “Delivered” Status

There haven't been reports from individual sellers of  a more than average loss of items.

Items will invariably get lost or delayed in the post especially if they are being sent from the distance you are encountering from your country.

However,  if you have tracking to show delivery that is all that eBay require,  no photo evidence, it's up to buyers to ensure they inform couriers, or their post person where to leave items in a safe place,  this is not eBay's responsibility.

As said, if you have tracking to show delivery you are not responsible for any refunds.
