Sorry for the late reply, I have just seen this question has remained unanswered.
It's not just you facing issues with DHL, eBay are aware, and this was stated on the Weekly Chat by a Community Manager.....
You can use your own courier if you wish. DHL are experiencing higher volumes than usual and are working on this to improve the service level. A refund request for the postage can then be made.
