Cond by a buyer and ebay

I sold a portable dvd player on here all still in original packaging as new. Only used it once. Was working 110% have plenty of photos of it working in 3 stages and all accessories etc. Guy buys it, send it out. He kept it for 28 days then on day 29 decides to pop up to ebay and say it isn't working. Bit suss to me. I'm inclined to believe his kid probably had a tantrum and damaged it and trying to coup some money back by abusing ebay money back guarantee. They didn't give me any room to put my side of the story across so straight away gave him a return address despite my listing stating no returns. No idea what address they gave but I never received it back and tracking says refused so must of been sent to a wrong address and now sitting in a depot for the past month. They gave him the refund and now chasing me for the money back. Guy didn't even produce any evidence just sent a message saying "it doesn't work" and magically they are falling at his knees. So not only has my item been basically stolen but they still wanting money back for it so I'm at a double loss. Can't even contact ebay about it. Tried via the listing reporting a problem and appealing and they won't do nothing about it or even email me an explanation. Absolute daylight robbery. And to hit the nail on the head he's allowed to leave me horrible negative feedback saying I'm a scammer, deformation of character that is. Absolutely ridiculous.

If buyer opens a NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, whatever you msy think you should provide a reply paid label, and on return refund. Only then can you report abuse of the system to ebay, who no doubt will do nothing.

By not dealing with it yourself, you have nothing returned, owe ebay money and if you do not pay up, ebay use debt collectors, and you will also have to pay their fees.

I am afraid that is the way ebay works.
