Checkout not reflecting the price drop

I've seen an item that was offered at £66 with £29 for shipping. I put the item in my watchlist because I was debating on purchasing it later as that's not a bad price for the item in question. A little later I received a price drop message stating that the item was reduced to £55 with £17 for shipping. I liked that so I went to purchase it but at the checkout screen it still shows the original price. I don't want to go through with the purchase and have the seller not honor the price drop. I've messaged the seller asking why the checkout screen didn't reflect the price drop but I received no answer of any sort. Does anyone know why this is happening? Do I need to purchase it at the original price and the price drop will be honored with a refund later or something like that?

Looks like item is from non UK seller, so you pay 20% VAT on top of prices.

£55 + 20% VAT = £66.

Checkout not reflecting the price drop

Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I looked again at the shipping cost, which I incorrectly listed(my mistake), and added the 20% VAT and it matches up as well. That seems kind of sneaky when it's not a true price drop but at least I know what is going on in the situation now. Thanks again for your help.
