Hi there
a seller told me to send an item to a different address
eBay seems to think I already posted the item
is it fine if i send to the different address than the label sent by eBay on my email ?
the seller changed his mind and I maybe by mistake set the item has dispatched
let me know asap
many thanks

if you post to any address other than the one eBay gave you, you lose all seller protection.

As said, no protection, in other words, proof of delivery to an address not as advised by ebay and seller could get a full refund.
Buyer may not realise the problems, or it could be an attempt to get purchase for free.
One solution would be to cancel sale, that would refund, and sell as a BIN to same buyer then buyer can use the correct address when paying.
A lot depends on how much is involved, as to whether you are prepared to take the risk.

If you bought the label from Ebay, it will show as despatched when you buy the label.
If it is the £300 rug, check that the carrier you are using covers that item for that value.
As advised, you have to send the item to the address Ebay provide.
If you don't, and the rug is delivered somewhere else, the buyer could claim they have not received the item and get their money back.

Did you actually cancel the sale, or just refund?

If you go to the item and 'view order details' you should be able to 'mark as not despatched'.
