Cannot seem to bid over reserve

I have been trying to bid on an auction for a few weeks now, and every time it goes up every week I try and bid on it. For some reason I cannot seem to be able to bid over £720, even though it says my maximum bid is £800 and the reserve is not met. Am I missing something?

given what you say - the reserve is over £800 your max bid.

Oh sure, but the starting bid was £600, so why did it stop at £720? just
doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me

As you haven't used eBay for a while you may be subject to buying limits,https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/buying-limits-restrictions/buying-limits-restrictions?id=4012 adding a credit card may increase your limit or contact eBay to ask

Unless someone else bids over £720, you max won't show.

Obviously reserve is more than £800.
