Cancelling an order (after cancellation declined)

Hi,

I purchased an order that showed the arrival date to suit me fine. However the seller later contacted me to state this date could not be met as the item ships from his shipping partner.

Although I initially cancelled the order, this cancellation got declined. I queried this with the seller, who explained this was an automated action. He has asked me to contact eBay to reopen the process to cancel the order, if that is possible?

I can’t see from my end that it’s possible to action cancelling the order again, so I hope eBay eBay can authorise this?

eBay will not cancel the order for you, the seller needs to.

Ask them to cancel the order citing Buyer requests to cancel,  this will fully refund you,  and assure them their seller performance will not be affected.

If they do not do this,  you are left with opening a case for item not received which can be opened one day after the original last estimated date for delivery,  for your refund.  You escalate the case on day 4 if not refunded beforehand.

As the seller has already refused to cancel, it cannot be cancelled again.

open a not received case one day after the last delivery date -
