Without seeing the bid history on the item it makes it a little harder. But was the £30 bid your first bid or a subsequent one that didn’t register in time?

Your £30 bid will have included the BPF,  the bid history page shows bids excluding the BPF so you need to add 4% and 75p to the 28.15 and then you will see that the winner actually bid more than you.
