Called a scammer and given negative feedback!

I just found negative feedback and rating from a purchase that was not completed over 4 months ago.

I just spotted it by chance and totally dumbstruck!  Guy won the auction for a drone then emailed me to say he didn't have the money to pay for it.  I simply made life easy for him and said I would cancel sale which I did.

Of course I cannot access historical messaging or sales history after I think 90 days so not sure how to deal with this one.  

It seems to be impossible to get too someone to speak to at eBay UK!

How can this even happen if no money paid and sale cancelled?

The only time a buyer can't leave feedback is if you cancel for non payment.

Cheers, exactly what I thought.  It says Validated Purchase by the feedback comment but Cancelled Sale in my seller page.  It was definitely a cancelled sale!

I have emailed eBay to see if they can assist.  I used to love eBay but it seems to be a minefield to sell expensive items these days!

You can cancel for a number of reasons but non payment is the only one that actually prevents the buyer leaving any feedback. 

Email can't assist with feedback that old.
