Buyers cancellation

So I had a buyer ask to cancel a sale this I did to find that eBay took the amount from my eBay balance - now if I didn’t have the funds they would have debited my bank account even though I hadn’t received any moneys from the buyer as I would have had to wait 2days after delivery to get paid as this cancellation was not of my doing should it not have been the person who instigated the return that had to wait for the refund and not to be taken from my balance/ account immediately that money could of been earmarked for postage or a purchase  (not right)

No,  the buyer does not wait for their refund this is made immediately,  they may not receive it immediately, as it goes back to original payment source paying with a credit card can take 30 days for it to appear in that card account.

For  the seller,  once the refund is made,  the payout from the buyer is released.
