Buyers Protection

Does any one else feel that Buyers Protection is wrong as this only applies to the UK sellers and that there is a touch of racial discrimination. The China seller can misrepresent his product, claim there are new when they are not. Offer a 50% or less refund for a defective article that they do not want sent back to them. Can query or cajole positive feedback, for when they are feeling wrongly dealt with when the service has been abysmal. I have been trading for 20 years my Positive feedback rating exceed 1000. I have never had any problems with a sale that didn't complete to everyone's satisfaction. The Buyers Protection, to my way of thinking, is a tax raised to generate a better income for eBay, at the cost of the UK buyer and also affects the UK private seller. This Buyers Protections impugns my integrity and I feel insults the standard that I maintain in all  matters either buying or selling has counted for nothing. I am seriously seeking other platforms to sell my wares. Why is it that almost every thing the vast majority seemed to like and could work with , now has to change because some delinquent has had a bright idea of how to extort more money into our own pockets.  Why are the China sales folk not subject to the buyers protection? I go out of my way to avoid a China Seller cause when they are trouble they use very underhanded tactics to avoid resolving the problem. One young lady even told me that she would loose her job if I  didn't write positive feedback for the misrepresented item she had sent over to me. If the British sellers are subject to Buyers Protection Premium we should demand all sellers are subject to the same Buyers Protection or no non British sellers are expelled from eBay UK.  I am not a racist I just want a flat playing field.

Buyers Protection

That message you received from the Chinese seller to change feedback because they'll lose their job, is a standard one,  I've received it a few times too.  Just ignore them, it's not true, bordering on harassment they are known to bombard you with these similar messages,  leave a fair feedback describing the transaction and let it stand.

As for Buyer Protection Fees ?  Many are upset,  look for and join in the many discussions on the subject on the forum,  many robust discussions !
