Buyer protection and simple delivery

Well it finally looks like the end of the road. I have sold as a private seller since 2002. I have 100% positive feedback. People who buy from me don't need Ebay buyer protection. That's just a rather crass money making ruse from Ebay. It helps them pay for all the problems caused by their acceptance of scammers and fraudsters to sell on Ebay. Simple delivery is the final nail in the coffin for private sellers like me who dispose of unwanted philatelic and collectible items of small value but which are nevertheless of interest to buyers and sellable. The combination of buyer protection charges, which only really protect Ebay, and simple delivery, which is not as simple as putting a stamp on a letter and posting it a few yards from my house, creates a toxic combination. I'll probably just stop selling. I lose, my buyers lose and Ebay loses. The worst of all possible worlds.
