I’ve been a buyer for 22 years on eBay. Everything from kitchen units, motorbikes to clothing. I’ve sold the odd larger item too. I’ve always given positive feedback when I’ve been happy, if I’m not happy (but not enough to warrant it being a red mark against the buyer) I’ve just reviewed with ‘received’.
However recently I’ve bought a few items that have been pretty shoddy and not as described. I’ve just not reviewed them only to find out that positive reviews are now automated if they’re not done within a certain timeframe.
This all makes eBay seem rather untrue and fake.
When I recently had real cause to complain about an item I had received, despite me trying to resolve with the seller, I felt I had to write a negative review. However, it got removed by eBay.
Despite eBay agreeing I’d broken no policy rules regarding feedback, this is what an agent said to me…
‘It is with our team and I assure you here that you left your honest review and this is not your fault. However, as per the written policies your feedback was removed.’
‘You did not break any policy here but seller was eligible for feedback removal so ti was removed from their account’.
Im literally gobsmacked! It’s all fake.
