Buyer Protection Fee

I have decided to not now sell on ebay because of the new BPF! This new charge is hitting those of us who sell the odd thing here and there at cheap prices as there is nothing wrong with the item, it is just simply been outgrown by my children. (The same goes for me buying things!) It was bad enough when postage charges increased, but now it isn't worth listing children's t-shirts / shorts etc............why do the business sellers not get hit too?

Business sellers have to pay listing fees and sellers' fees.  They have to buy stock, make a living wage and possibly pay staff.

They are legally obliged to allow buyers to return their purchases for any reason.

If you are just getting rid of unwanted items, you could feasibly reduce your prices to cover the BPF - remember, until October 2024, private sellers were paying about 13% (+30P) on the selling price and postage  cost.
