Bought a bike, sight unseen

Can anyone offer advice. I bought a bike (motor) and had it couriered. The bike was sold as a runner.with cosmetic damage only: however it belches smoke...this could be a small problem which I'm happy to fix or it could be big! The seller sells a lot of bikes on ebay, has no comment section and had me pay out of eBay...ba no transfer. He also claims that the bike never operated in such a way when he had it. Ebay has no record of the bike being sold or advertised...records taken down, I assume after buy it now. This means I cannot contact an agent!

Vehicles, including motor bikes, are not covered by MBG.

Also by sending courier, also invalidates MBG on any ebay item.

It it was business seller, contact citizens advice.

Otherwise it is between you and seller

This is why you should collect in person and only pay after inspection.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate your help. As it happens the bike
has turned out to be keeper...I was pa mixing over nothing...however, your
advice could've, easily, made all the difference and, thanks to it I shall
be more wary and careful in the future. Again, thank you, kindest regards,
Ziva.

Re: Bought a bike, sight unseen

Unless removed by ebay, this should still show in your purchases, as purchase history goes back for 7 years.

You need to find it so you know what to look for in case you need it in the future. At the top of purchases it shows Last 60 days, you have to look in the drop down menu for other periods.
