Book not received, Post office refusing my claim

Post office have said that the book was scanned and left with a neighbour and told me the neighbour's address it was delivered to.

I have contacted the buyer to let him know this.  I am fuming.  I have already refunded him, so not only did he get my book I paid for the postage!!

If tracking shows as delivered, you Don't need to refund.

Always add tracking to ebay when posting and case.

As you found, RM won't refund you as they proved delivery, does not have to handed to buyer.

Now that you have refunded the buyer, eBay cannot make the buyer send the item back to you or pay again. You could appeal to the buyer’s sense of fairness and if they agree to it then jointly arrange a way to pay you back directly. eBay will not be interested.
