Bidding/Winning Confused.Com!!!

Hi wondering if anyone has any idea why this might have happened…placed a bid for a tracksuit (£45 top bid) and lost out at the last second which I have no problem with however having checked the winning bid they were LESS than my top bid any ideas why this would be and can I complain or appeal??

Winning bid was placed a lot earlier than yours and your bid was less than minimum increment.

Your bid was £45 which includes the Buyer fee ( bid £42.58 +fee £2.42)

The winning bid was £46.04 inc buyer fee £2.46 (bid 43.58 ) exceeding your maximum

Your first screenshot shows the price including the BPF, the second (the bidding page) shows it excluding the BPF.

Thank youWill have to read up on the buyer protection fee see how that works, thought it was added on afterwards like they do VAT or with some orders from other countries…
