Battery quality refunds : buyer support

Hi, 

In Sept 2024 I bought two mobility scooter battery packs from an eBay seller.  In March 2025 they failed, were sent back under 12 month warranty and were replaced.

Now June 2025 replacement batteries have also failed.

Seller is not responding only to say it's my scooter's/ chargers fault but both were working fine. (been tested)

I no longer trust batteries (same make) so would like a refund.

Initially paid for through eBay seller, using PayPal payment from my CREDIT card, ( not bank card)

So please, advice please on best way forward?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there isn't a route to getting a refund here via eBay, PayPal or your credit card provider (had you bought direct from a website with it you'd have been covered under Section 75, but not if you bought from an online selling platform that processed the payment).

 

Maybe take legal advice if you have the sellers contact details?
