I bought 4 small items.... paid for them with debit card I went back to item search thinking that there would be a ... sold ... label on the 4 I had bought, but no there were still there for sale.... all of them were seccond hand ... not new items

Not your problem, if not received by estimated delivery date just open FOUR not received cases to get refunds.
Could be seller has relisted the sold items by mistake, if so the item numbers would be different.
