From what I've been reading here, private sellers are seeing a drop in sales due to buyers not wanted to pay for the protection fee? I appreciate this is all conjecture, but the main point I wanted to check - before I list more items - is what the BPF looks like when someone buys from me. I've looked up a load of new listings from Private Sellers, and I can see anything different to what I used to?

The buyer just sees a price.
There is no breakdown and the BPF is not shown separately - it may be shown as a separate amount when Ebay send the buyer an invoice.
So, this item Real Feel Pool Controller. Rare Unique PC Curiosity from 2000s
is priced at £6.44 although I assume you listed it at 5.49 or 5.50 which is the price you will see in your active selling list. If you click on any of your items, you can see the price shown to a potential buyer.

The prices are odd numbers eg. £37.11 instead of £35. But it's perfectly possible to adjust the item price during the listing process to take the fee into account and make it a round figure. I can't imagine it would make a huge difference to sales.

Thanks Jack. I've just noticed that it DOES show if they add items to the basket and then view cart, but that's fine I guess. My big concern was disscussions around sales dropping for private sellers because buyers are put off by the mandatory BFP. Given it doesn't show when they until they've pretty much agreed to purchase, I'm not buying that argument (no pun intended).
