I sell lower priced items it only makes sense really if i offer free postage to use 2nd class royal mail letter or large letter anyway this isn't the problem.
This week I have had a plethora of people asking why I haven't yet posted items and why they haven't arrived etc. Nothing too unusual its Royal mail and ebay but they really do have no idea I have posted things. On their end it will say

This is for an item bought 30th and sent the 1st. So I don't understand why it would even give them the 2nd given its posted 2nd class inline with what I have on listing and is even stated on the order. Is this a system problem? It's not running behind at all.
I spoke to an advisor who firstly focused on the fact my dispatch time is 1 day (which it is) and this would give a false delivery date to buyer. HOW? I tried to understand why this would affect the estimated delivery date when they also know I would be sending it second class but I just can't.
FAQ says "
Handling and dispatch time
We define handling time as the time it takes you to hand over the item to the delivery service provider after the buyer has paid."
Which is accurate I do always get things out next day. Why aren't they taking into account the actual postage time? Why would items not even look posted? Surely I don't have to set my dispatch time to 2 days just so the system gives better dates when I post next day?! Make it make sense.
On my end it shows the wrong dates still but it does at least say dispatched.
Also how automated is ebay asking for feedback? I had a case opened with a buyer and during this time they have asked for feedback on something not yet delivered and in dispute so I got my first proper negative, unsurprisingly. I really feel like ebay is going out of their way to make me look stupid recently. Changes are happening to Royal mail in general with postage dates so I really hope this would be adjusted and taken into account soon.
