Age verifiction

Hi, is there any way other than credit card, which i don't have, to confirm my age? I'm 61 and have been prevented from buy a mitre saw and now a set of chipsticks because of ebays policy on bladed items. The only crime I'm going to commit with a mitre saw is one against joinery and any harm with chopsticks will be to the shirt I'm wearing when using them.

Currently, only a (single monthly payment)  Credit Card entry to confirm your age is acceptable to eBay --- nothing else will do !! --- an everyday use Debit Card will not be accepted. 

A regular problem which eBay are said to be trying to resolve.

The simple fact is that there are numerous ways of verifying age, but most would require the submission of evidence which would have to be checked by eBay staff. This isn't necessary for payments made by credit card as holders have to be aged 18 years or older.

So eBay will only accept payment by credit card for age-qualified purchases. It's eBay's site and eBay's decision.
