A mystery account has appeared on my phone, and I can’t log out to get to my own one

Did you log in via Google etc. because that will create a new account.   You should be able to log out via My eBay settings or menu icon.

 Opened another account ?? --- Reported to happen if using Mobiles/Apps to signin using Facebook/Apple/Google login options resulting in opening a closely matched but 'cloned' new account with missing History and/or corrupted account details >

Try to recover the Original 2024 account/history with  > eBay.co.uk <  Homepage login  with previous/usual email/Username/s/Password/s etc. --- then remove any unwanted account.
