What happens at the end of an auction listing with a reserve price if the item does not sell. Do I have to pay again to relist?

You pay the reserve fee each time you use it, even if the item does not sell.   It's cheaper just to make the start price the minimum you want to get.

Thank you for fast reply. Will my listing automatically renew and charge me the fee again? Do I have to turn off auto renew or something?

It might do if it was selected during the listing process or left as default.    To remove it click on Revise Your Item, top left of listing, and untick the auto relist option near the bottom, above submit.

Item will relist, but as you used a reserve, you pay that fee every time.

Better to forget reserve & just start listing at least you will sell for.

You can try contacting ebay to remove the reserve if you relist and can't do it.   You can use callback on here:

Thanks. Used the link and spoke to Ebay person who said my item would renew 8 time (free of further charges) then go to UNSOLD ITEMS without any charge.

I wouldn't trust this from eBay cs,your item will relist without any listing fee but the reserve fee will be charged each time it relists

Thank you for the warning.
However I recorded the call to the help line and she definitely says that
there will be no charge for the reserve price when the item relists
automatically. After relisting 8 times (free of charge) it will become an
unsold item.

You may well be right of course, so thank you for the warning.

I was wrong,eBay now only charge if an item is manually relisted,auto relists are not charged.

'We charge upgrade fees when you list your item, and these fees are non-refundable. If you choose to manually relist your item, optional listing upgrade fees apply again. We don't charge these fees again for your listings that are set to automatically renew or relist.'
