30 days before I can collect. Does this affect protection?

The seller is away for 30 days, after which I can collect in person. Is this a problem? I don’t mind waiting, but not sure if it affects my rights.

Yep,  it would affect any case you may wish to open later for item not as described,  as eBay have a strict timeline with their 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy, and that period for you would have lapsed.

The seller was wrong to list an item knowing they could not complete the transaction within a month.

Ask the seller to cancel the item,  which will fully refund you and relist when they are back,  for you to collect after payment.  If they cite ' Buyer Requests to Cancel' assure them this does not affect their seller performance.

Thanks for your advice Tressygirl, I’ve messaged the seller and asked him to cancel. Hopefully he’ll understand and do that.
