I need to cancel an item. I’ve tried every way I’m worried this will prevent me selling in future.

You have a bid, cancelling the listing will probably get you a defect, which as a new seller coukd immediately put you below standard.

Why do you want to cancel? You need to explain the reason to the bidder and see if he will agree to cancellation, if so you could then cancel the bid and item using reason bidders request.
