I bought an item that didn't turn up. Ebay told me the seller had issued a refund. A few weeks later and no sign of the refund... The seller will just have triggered the refund via ebay, and it's ebay who told me a refund was on it's way, so I assume I should get ebay to tell me the date and the bank details the refund was issued to so I know where to triple-check, but I can't find how to contact ebay to do that. I did look for it so apologies if the info is here somewhere and I've just missed it somehow, but could someone direct me to how to chase this up? THanks, I appreciate your help. ... View more

When i look at my seller hub, the promotion does not appear to have been applied despite me accepting the offer before listing the 12 items. My allowance is showing 0/100 used. Hello, I believe I am going to have a problem with someone I recently sold too. Prior to the sale there were lots of messages which in hindsight was a red flag. On Monday I dispatched 21 items to various buyers, all my items state that parcels will be sent Royal mail 2nd class. Within a couple of hours of dispatch I was getting messages asking for a tracking number. I explained that as per sale details it was sent by the above I sent a screen shot of the receipt with the reference number. Of all the items sent on that day this buyer is the only one supposedly yet to receive the item. I have looked through the buyer feedback and although it shows as 100% there are regular comments for this same sort of issue. I believe that I am being set up to have to refund this person but feel that I maybe getting lied too. I have only started recently selling on a regular basis and I am not sure what should happen in cases like this especially as the buyer appears to do this every so often. Hi, I have received a promotional offer from Ebay to get 80% off final value fees. I have accepted the offer and listed some items. There is a counter at the bottom of my selling page with the remaining listings that I have on this offer but this no longer counts down. I contacted Ebay and they have said this is the new way. I ordered a Dyson fan today, paying by Paypal £350.  I was really looking forward to receiving it and have just logged on now to see that the order has been cancelled.  The reason given by eBay was that I had cancelled it!!!!  This has happened to me before and it is so annoying. usual rubbish,ebay is uncontactable,hiding behind a endless set of of buttons 😞   i have to return an item by aug 2nd and have tried to question the address given to me, ive friends nearby and theyve checked it,an empty private house with a forsale notice in its garden,completely different to the address on the parcel when i got it,a warehouse,,hence my intitial question,still unanswered.   today i see the seller has put up a "gone away until aug 20" notice on his advert ,hes never ever replied to any of my coms to him and so im now reticent about send him back this £30 smartwatch even though its carp.   any one got any sensible ideas?..   cheers n atb. ... Hi All,   I hope someone can help. We are a top rated business on eBay and have recently come into a few issues. Firstly we have had our payments put on hold and restricted as we are required to upload a HMRC statement. We are still in our first 12 months so HMRC isn't due for actually another 3 months. Its been a week now and have been re-assured that this will be lifted. Whats unnerving a little is this is our only income at the moment we were very happy to say we are working a job we love as a family business. Having payments frozen for something that isn't due is not good really as at any point this can happen again. Currently luckily under a 1000 but still alot. Obviousy unexpected. Now we have been advised we are to upload VAT on all out listings, as this may result in another account freeze. In the UK I have asked. Are all sales liable to VAT? No, they are not. Some traders are not registered for VAT because their businesses have a low turnover (sales) and so they cannot charge VAT on their sales (unless they are voluntarily registered) or turn over £85,000 We are not VAT registered, its an offence to charge VAT if you are not registered. I have spoken to a customer service agent at eBay and although quite pleasent and proffesional he openly admitted that he wasn't a tax expert in the UK, but advised I must upload my VAT percentage. I am not VAT registered so I can't. Conversation went round in probably 2 full circles. I have asked a tax expert (an expensive one at that) and confirmed I can't charge VAT unless registered. I filled out a request to return a faulty item, I had a reply from the seller saying they were dealing with the situation and I then asked for an update and got another reply saying "please do not worry, we are dealing with your request". 5 days later and I still haven't heard anything and it feels like they are delaying any action so that it passes the 30 day return limit. I sold something last Sunday, buyer has not paid. Have received a message from Ebay saying that I have successfully cancelled the sale, even though I never did anything to cancel it. I was hoping the buyer might actually pay. Now I have lost the potential sale and am unable to leave any feedback for the non-paying bidder. How is anyone meant to know about poor bidders if the feedback option is removed? It's ridiculous. I don't think I will bother leaving feedback for anyone ever again if the system is so flawed and completely useless. And, of course, I cannot query the cancellation with Ebay because they don't want to speak with their members.     ... View more
