I bought an item 9 days ago, 7 days ago it arrived. It was a limited edition blu ray, the seller sold it as the limited edition blu ray. But what they actually sold me, was them sending me a gift from Amazon (this was not mentioned anywhere) and the item turned out to be the standard edition as Amazon has sold out of the limited edition. They charged me £15 for this, the standard edition is £9 and obviously I could buy that myself... so I complained (not allowed to leave feadback for seven days, or ask for a refund for 3 days for some reason so I sent a message) a refund was organised, and an 'amazon return label' was emailed to me. I sent the item back. using my gift receipt and tracking number, I know the item was received by Amazon last Friday and refunded to the seller. I however, when asked, was told they had no item and the refund would be sent as soon as they do. They sent me the refund today, and I just went to leave the feeback (now its been 7 days and I should be able to) but instead of sending a refund, they have cancelled the order, which leaves me unable to give feedback unless I'm missing something? Surely cancelling a sale cant void the right for feedback, as feedback should be made if someone sells you something and then a week later cancels it? even if I didn't want to leave bad feedback because of the lies, and it was a genuine cancellation after a week, I'd have reason for negative feedback, no? The whole waiting 7 days is bizarre to me. Sure, it means you have to give the seller chance to correct it before feedback is made, but if they can give refunds via cancellation and protect their high ebay ratings, it's a bit dodgy. The seller has 17 negative feedback this month (but they have positive way above that) but all the negatives are the same complaint, about selling Amazon gifts as items, but charging 50% more than Amazon and listing items wrongly. But it makes me wonder how many more negatives should they have, if they've managed to cancel the ability to negatively mark them in this way.
