I ordered an item that showed delivery by Royal Mail. However, it was never received. After contacting Royal Mail they confirmed that it was not delivered to me but instead incorrectly delivered. I was given a claim reference that had to go to the seller, as they had posted the item, for them to claim the refund. I have since had no response from the seller to my numerous emails apart from an automated 'the item has been delivered'. I do not have it or a refund. Apparently my order is not covered under the eBay guarantee, no idea why. do I just accept the lost money and give up? I don't know where to go from here. ... View more

I paid £150 for a sofa on Ebay. The seller then refused to let me have the sofa as they said that they could not see that the money had been paid. They say that I have a dispute with Ebay as they have taken the money. Ebay are proving impossible to contact. They seem to want to block any provision of a contact number so the issue can be discussed in detail. In stead I have been asked to fill in a return for an item which I never received. When I said that I wanted a return I meant the £150 which I paid to Ebay not the sofa. So I canceled the return and now Ebay are even harder to get hold of. What should I do next. Should I complain to trading standards, Watch dog or an Ombudsman? I want my £150 back and some sort of communication. Hi, eBay, We've received your reply about the wrong mattress, thank you,   We don't want to just returned the mattress we want change it for the right size and right thickness of 12" inches. And I forgot to mention that the order form also printed on the size and the thickness of the mattress as 12" inches and highlight by highlighters clearly, even then been delivered the wrong sized why....?
