Hello, I have contacted CS and was told as a private seller I shouldn't be paying any VAT on my final value fees. And that it would be corrected with an "adjustment" that should take about 48 hours. But then the other CS staff says all sellers must pay 20% VAT on top of the Final value fees on each sale. I'm very confused and I don't know how to deal with this. Also, I recently found out that any Final value fee Credits must be claimed manually otherwise they will not be automatically refunded. So I had to go through a 45min+ phone call going through each of the canceled/refunded sales in order to reclaim the Final value fees from those sales. I've never returned anything before, and I've got into a mess! I ordered 3 items from a seller, but they arrived too late. Seller said I could return, but I was puzzled at having to go through the same process for each item, so only 'started' 2 returns of the 3. I contacted the seller again, who just said 'send them back', so I returned the whole package, unopened. Seller never acknowledged receipt and no refund arrived. Then ebay closed one of the returns. I'm going round in circles as the 'ask ebay to step in' thing just doesn't allow me to progress the problem... Any suggestions, please? ... View more

Hi - can anyone provide any advice on my options please. Details as follows: 1. Item sold as unused and untested - very clear in description. 2. Buyer purchases and tests and claims not working  3. Buyer then claims item not as described and accuses me of not disclosing information and claims I sold as 'New' 4. Because buyer as selecting "not as described" eBay automatically side with buyer without checking or validating buyers claim (eBay don't even bother to consider my description which was very clear) 5. Buyer then leaves me  negative feedback (first for me in 14 years!) repeating their false claims about the item being "new" 6. eBay refuse to remove "subjective" feedback despite it contradicting the original description.   My only option seems to be to "report" the buyer which clearly does nothing to help me. Is any other Seller experiencing interference from Ebay on their listings ? In the recent past I have had mails from Ebay telling me that certain listings were now able to accept offers...If I wished to accept offers that should be my choice and not imposed on the listing. More recently I have had listings I clearly marked as UK only effectively changed by Ebay to accept International purchase, bids & offers one of which, a Buy it Now, purchased & paid for by an International Buyer who I had to inform of the cancellation. I ordered an item last Wednesday as a guest as I had forgotten my password. Paid for the item using debit card, but nevet received anything from the seller regarding my order which has not arrived. Contacted seller who says he doesn't have any details of my order as I don't have an order number. how come the money has been taken from my account - the only reference  i have is on my bank statement, but it does not mention the sellers name just an eBayO*xx-xxxxx-xx ref that doesn't seem to mean anything to anybody !
