I just wanted to thank Ebay and Paypal fpr their help with my dispute with a seller. Their help and intervention, especially, Ebay's efforts, solved the dispute immediately. Thank you.
Wow just seen all the Negative Feedback you have left! Try resolving problems with Sellers before chucking negative feedback at them.
Omigosh, @rspi9309 you have an unnaturally high amount of purchases that have had issues resulting in you leaving negative feedback. ![]()
If I saw you place a bid on any of my listings I'd immediately cancel and block you, the copious amount of neutrals and negs left for previous transactions make you look like the potential buyer from hell.
Over the years I must've had over ten thousand buying transactions and not managed to leave more than 2 negs and 1 neutral.
Reading the feedback left, you don't seem to have discovered yet that most problems are easily resolved by using the Resolution Centre and that contacting Ebay or Paypal is rarely necessary.
You also seem unaware that Refunds go back to source and are only instant when you have paid using funds in your paypal account. If you paid using a card, Debit card takes 7 days and Credit card takes 30 days, but the Paid symbol against a purchase will show that a refund has been started by changing to the Refunded Symbol.
Is this the seller you left the negative feedback for? They could get that removed if they know the rules, as you there, have mentioned a refund, this is not allowed when leaving feedbacks.
However, if it is this seller , and the matter has been amicably resolved, perhaps you can meesage them to send you a feedback revision to complete and send it back to them.
Sorry but no one from Ebay or PayPal here. We are just other Members. So no they won't receive your well meaning message.
Sadly the advice given by eBay may not always be correct.![]()
Very sad! You can ask the seller to cancel [as perhaps you did] but then it is down to him. The problem there is that he "may" get stuck with fees and a defect if he cancels.
Buyers cannot cancel a completed purchase. If the seller in some way said that you could then that is yet another reason not to communicate!
If the seller cancelled the item properly through eBay then you get a refund automatically. If he did not then on the day after the item was due to be delivered you open a "non-receipt" case in the resolution centre and escalate on day 9 when eBay refunds you and gives the seller a well deserved defect.
Again - the eBay system must be used. It does not need the seller to "communicate" with you but he must obey eBay's rules
Come on, ruby*tuesday, please make a new year resolution: leave negative feedback if deserved, by all means, but be fair and leave positive feedback too where it's deserved.
It's SO depressing when a buyer leaves neg after neg, but hardly ever bothers to thank sellers who've given good service.
Doing this damages your own account too. Sellers do check the feedback buyers leave, and may cancel and block your bids rather than risk selling to you.
Perhaps you do not fully understand the system? If something is wrong you have to involve eBay by using the resulotion centre. There is a link below. It is pointless trying to get the seller to resolve something without using resolution.
If a seller were to refund you without using the resolution process - and although I accept it sounds silly - he would be given an account defect. Too many of those and he will be closed down by eBay!
So, when something is wrong, do not waste any time contacting/arguing with the seller. Simply open the case. As long as the seller then responds to the case there is no problem. He will send a label to return and refund you. If so that - in my view - does not deserve a negative; things go wrong ...
Only if the seller does not respond within 8 days do you need to escalate the case. In that case eBay takes over and gives the seller a [well deserved] defect.
You certainly seem to have had a poor experience! In all my days on eBay [since dinosaurs roamed the earth] I have never needed to leave a negative! Not once!
