Sent item but ebayer saying not recieved

Hi sent item to buyer but buyer saying they have not recieved item they message me 3 week later after i had posted to say they hadnt 

recieved item it was sent second class i sent picture of postage recipet now they left me negative 

feedback after 8 weeks saying not recieved What can i do????

Is there a 16 digit number or a tracking number on that proof of posting?  Then enter it into the Track & Trace,  Royal Mail online, find the status of that item.  If it shows delivery you can inform the buyer of this,  and if they still wish to open a case,  entering those numbers,  you will not need to refund.

If tracking does not show delivery,  or you do not have these numbers,  you can still resolve this.  Apologise to the buyer,  items to get lost in the post.  Ask them to open a case for item not received,  in the Resolution Centre.  .  Refund fully through the case details,  once all is resolved,  you can ask them to accepot a feedback revision you can send them.

When you send via RM as parcel (not large letter), on POP is a 16 digit reference, not tracked but will show when delivered,

you should always upload this info to ebay when marking as posted, if delivered you win any case for item not received,

if not delivered, buyer opens case, you refund through it, get ebay fees credited & claim from RM.

She has never contacted me since the first time so i just thought she had received item & just
wasn't leaving me feedback she just left negative feedback tonight
but from her feedback its normal

All the buyer had todo was open a Not Received case, it is amazing how many members never read anything on the listing pages.

You should then have refunded throught the case, you would have had your selling fee refunded and you then use the Proof of Postage to make a claim on Royal Mail.

That is what the PoP is for.

I assume you did nothing to resolve the buyers problem so they, reflected your inaction by leaving feedback. 

All problems on ebay are usually  resolved by cases being opened in the Resolution Centre at the foot of the page.

Nothing....proof of posting means nothing on eBay....you need tracked online delivery....you are responsible up top delivery not just until posted
