Just learned that seller has cancelled an item my son was so looking forward to receiving. No explanation. Would at least expect immediate refund. Why then do I have to wait until 25th December (9 days) for the money that I have paid to be cleared for return to me?
Thanks
Where did the figure of 9 days come from? It isn't clear whether the seller cancelled the sale correctly, through the resolution centre, or just told you it was canelled?
If notice of the refund came to you through eBay itself you will just have to accept the delay. If this was a private message from the seller I'd ignore it and open a case under eBay's money back guarantee: http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/
You may not get it any quicker, but t least it will ensure that you receive a refund. A case must be opened within 30 days after the latest estimated delivery date. If still unresolved after 8 days the option will appear to escalate it for eBay to step in. Be sure to do this, and don't agree to close the case before you have your refund.
