Chat Transcript

Does anyone know if the chat transcript record is cancelled if you end the contact?

After just being on for ages I finally gave up. I was told to stay connected so I did patiently for along time but got no response. So in anger I quit the chat.

I have since checked my messages and ther is no sign of the transcript. Is this because I quit it do you think?

I would guess so, it is the equivalent of putting the phone down.

Live Chat used to be good but the lack of knowledge makes it very poor. Some timeago having had no reaction to using the "report " link on a listing I used live chat to report a Live Cat being sold on ebay. 

I was passed  to 4 diferent people before I got hrough to them that Live Animals are not allowed. Such Basic knowledge should be known by all CS staff.

If that leaves you with no answer to your problem try on here,  we can provide Advice on most things except of course anything to do with a member's Account or personal details. We are members like you and only have access to out own details.

Only Just noticed your response so thanks for trying.

What I didn't make clear is that I had been through to an adviser and had a short conversation.

His grasp of English was so poor I could barely understand him and I don't know if he could really understand me!

He eventually said to hold the line and he will check the situation (or similar).  The albiet short conversation basically ended by my saying "can you speak English as I can't understand a word you are saying".  At this point he stopped communicating and I was left holding the line.  I was going to complain about his inability to help/understand/or speak English and ask why he had even been employed, but as there was no transcript their was no evidence!

I would hope that by now he has been taken off the help line.....

If there was no chat, there is not much point in having a transcript.

I have contacted Live Chat twice recentlywith no waiting at all.

There was plenty of chat john1297576 and at one point I thought he'd gone for advice as he said to stay connected. When he didn't come back I got a bit miffed and finally quit the chat.

I'm sure you do have to have a finality with the live chat conflab, to then get an email of that ttranscript.

That's convenient, it would make interesting reading that one! No wonder he disappeared.

From my experience on the ending with wishing you well etc, the Live Chat transcript comes through your email and eBay messages very quickly, almost instantly. So if it hasn't, it would then seem you do have to finish the Chat completely.
