Charged when a winning bidder didn't pay

The winning bid on a TV I was auctioning was £67.20

Unfortunatly the bidder didn't pay. I waited 2 days then started a "Unpaid Item" report. 4 days later I relisted the item. I have just received an invoice from Ebay for £6.72

Why?

If you look at your invoice it should be obvious that the fee is charged as soon as the item sells. Any refund will not be received until after you close the Unpaid Case.

Because of this the fee charged may be in a different month/invoice from the refund. You can see items not yet invoice if you look at account (under your ID) which will show when refund made.

Thankyou for you comment. I contacted the Ebay Help line, the reason I had been charged was that I hadn't closed the case. I closed the case & have now been refunded.
