Hello everyone,
Sorry if i have missed a post explaining this but i cant seem to find a definite answer in order to take action.
I sold a pair of trainers and the buyer paid straight away, however then instantly wished to cancel after noticing a crack (which was in the photos) and requested to cancel the sale. I accepeted this and now wondering how do i actually refund the buyer?
it says the cancelltion is pending and when i go to click refund it says the buyer is not enrolled in managed payments? Do i manually need to go on paypal and click refund this payment or does ebay automatically do it for me after i have confirmed the buyer cancellation request?
Many thanks
I don't see the reason for saying the BUYER is not in Managed payments. Youare not in managed payments so procedure is exactly as it has always been.
As far as I am aware the buyer opens a Cancellation Request through MORE ACTIONS exactly as before. You then cancel the sale as before using Buyers Request as the reason and a refund is made exactly as before.
There should be no reason for you to do any more. It doessound as though you have tried to refund without the buyer opening a request, causing problems, and risk of a duplication of the refund.
You only get a refund of the selling fee if done correctly. Paypal Fee is not refunded.
When the cancel request came through straight after i accepted it and it then said problem with this request please see cancellation page, to then it took me to a page said the cancellation request it pending and to refund the buyer before april 3rd. So i tried to click the refund buyer option (on the app) and it then said again that it is pending. So im assuming now ive accepted it it refunds automatically
