Buyer Can’t Pay

The buyer can't pay but doesn't think they can cancel the transaction on their side. I am a new user and can't afford the negative impact on my rating of cancelling the transaction on my side. Is there a way that the buyer can cancel it?

No. Buyers cannot cancel a transaction.

If done properly why would it affect your account?

The buyer’s card doesn’t work and they don’t think they will be able to resolve the issue. They have asked me to cancel via a message.
