Oh Dear, Missed It! By Annie Versary

.....sorry Onemore, for the first time in many years we didn't wish all the Authors a happy birthday and yourself on the 27 December..

So A Happy Healthy and Prosperous 2019 to all those that remember where we lived and spent many hours creating these book titles.

Cheers all (and Vanjim), Richard.

Hi Richard. Once again I’d forgotten all about this, so thank you for keeping it going. Was in Surrey myself over Christmas, visiting my parents in Woking. A happy and healthy 2020 to you, too.

Common Mouth Ailments After Christmas by Ginger Vituss

Wey Hay! Just popping on to wish a Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year in 2020 to absent authors and what do I find.............old authors not hibernating!!

Ebay let me down folks by not telling me new posts had arrived. The dust mites had clogged the system! Spider webs the same I guess. This is so nice to hear from you!!!

Jimbo and Onemore how nice to see your both alive out there in LaLa land and hopefully still walking upright and unaided amongst your families and relatives!

I am pleased to have said goodbye to 2019 as the dreaded C word entered my life and I must admit at one stage that 2020 looked a long way off. But technology and the skill of many at St Georges Hospital, Tooting ensured that the dreaded kidney tumour, found by accident, was Cryoblated from me. The last 2 CT scans have shown clear so here's hoping that in March I get another good tick in the box. Yes Jimbo still a lot of me. Doctor was only too pleased to tell me that I can eat what I like now, BUT don't swallow! Must wake up to the fact that the elephants are disappearing and so could I.

Now having been elated must get some sleep and promise to catch up.......my Harley Davidson is now resting on the roof in the shape of Solar Panels and in my mouth as an implant, other than that the house of Lindum still plods on. Still haven't found a replacement for my wife who died back in 2014, another year that wasn't very nice for me.

Peace and good fortune to you and yours from me and mine, from an aged OAP now, 70 is the new ??, hugs, Richard.

PS I still have my Ebay mug, pristine and unused from those good old days.

The Importance Of The New Year Diet (even though doomed to failure) by Roy Vita                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Diary..Day two and i'm bloody starving....The current diet has forced me to seek healthy eating via my many cookbooks.Yesterday we had Lemon Chicken and Cauliflower Pilaf (if i diet,we all diet)Tonight i will be attempting Lemon and Pea Risotto. The secret,of course is to use smaller plates. It doesn't mean i wouldn't prefer to demolish Double Saveloy,Chips and Curry Sauce.Starting at exactly 20 stones,my destiny is very much in the Hairy Bikers hands.Wish me luck.Smiley Frustrated

The Importance Of Staying Awake In The Afternoons: Part 1 by Mustapha Kipp

Eat the book Jimbo! Those dishes are for Master Chefs only that have read the wise words of the 2 who shall be listened to. I'm still a couple of stone heavier than you my internet buddy by tipping the scales at 140kg......maybe if I put my other foot on it would make a difference? Must admit that since having gone on the Type II Desmond course to learn about food it now takes 3 times as long in Tesco's to shop. They have even offered me a security job as I walk around tut tutting! My thoughts are to loose weight as we both have done before. Can't pluck up enough courage to do Slimming World at the moment............my cooking has to sustain two hefty sons who burn calories like mad doing their jobs. The cat looks after herself, hasn't quite managed the tin opener yet or ring pull but she weighs in at 5.5kg. Lightly grilled in a white wine sauce methinks............

Hope your managing retirement or is the early mornings back on the mower still calling you? I'm now in my 2nd year of being the Men's Bowls captain and must admit I look forward to the coming season starting in late April, bring it on! Love the exercise and being out doors. Currently playing indoors just for the social side and to keep up with whose got a new hip, ankle or knee! Life is for getting older by the day and not noticing it. Anyway will be able to keep the convo going I hope. Stay sane and upright folks, Lots of luck all, Richard.

Re: Book titles - any more ideas?

The Prince Of Tyre by Mitch Ellinmann.    I'm 6 or 7 years into retirement and continue to suffer with arthritic knees after 40 years of walking behind greens mowers.Jane suffers with her knees as well and is 5 or 6 years retired. With our difficulty walking ,and the natural ageing process,we decided to get a Cocker Spaniel puppy !!!!!He,Elvis,is probably the only reason i get my boots on in the morning to give him his walk.I probably would be a lot less mobile.I am still living to greenkeeper rules and getting up around 5.00/5.30 every morning. After our walk,i get my household chores done before my legs get progressively more tired. So by mid afternoon i am usually done for.Generally in good health though so shouldn't complain.Sorry to hear Mr C paid you a visit but delighted you showed him the door.Family keep you going with cooking and taxi services etc,so i never complain about being useful. The time may come when we end up in the front window of "Mary Magdalene's Home For Retired Gentlefolk"dribbling down the front of our shirts, but keep the brain active and everything else should look after itself.Talk again tomorrow..
