ooooooh I remember a doll when I was about 8. Now I hated dolls, and they got me this bride doll....fortunately for me, the leg fell off! but horrors!!!!!! my mother had an address and sent it away to be fixedLuckily for me though it never came back..phew!!!

My worst gifts have always been ones from my mother in law who is a very mean although shes not poor by any means .

One year it was an old peg bag with a rusty coathanger on it , 

then there was the threadbare evening bag complete with lipstick stainrd hankie ,  & the kids dint fare any better she once sent my boys (her only grandchildren ) who were then 3 & 5 yrs old a pair of white y fronts each .:(

My hubby who is her only son dosnt get anything any better either for his 21st she sent him a corkscrew were still waiting for the wine LOL

My mother in law was like that Von.  She asked me what I wanted one year and I said a hair dryer.  I got a used one of hers that she didn't need any more!

my MIL was the same! she had 3 sons, so she used to buy a pack of 3 cheap white sports socks from the market and give them a pair each!! One year she bought me some cheap spray and talc, I sprayed on the stuff to try it, and the dog kept trying to hump me leg all day!!! gawd it didn't half pong! we laughed over that for days.
