Waiting for one payment but all others in the post today 🙂

The lady in the PO loves me .............NOT!!  lol   I leave my parcels open till she's weighed them then if they're just under or just over the kilo or whatever, I'll start swapping bits for others from my pocket till I can get it as near as possible and then seal them up  😉

If she says anything, the usual reply is  'well, you started it'. Can't be doing with all this size and weight faff - it's even more confusing now they've altered the sizings.

She thinks she's got off lightly - she doesn't realise there'll be at least another 3 tomorrow!

Thank you once again everybody 🙂

xx

Re: welcome to october mdcc

The size and weight thing is bad enough, but they also subject me to 20 questions about the parcel contents and the value. I was given to a lecture when I dared to try to post an alarm clock - it turned out it was allowed as it had no battery in, but you can't put an alarm clock and a separate battery in the same parcel.

It's getting really silly.

I can't see where it says that here:

http://www.royalmail.com/personal/help-and-support/Tell-me-about-Restricted-Goods

It just says that the ordinary sorts of batteries must be in their original packaging and bubble wrapped not that they can't be sent wth anything else.

I think they should put the post back on trains, then you could send anything anywhere.
