I have decided to stop using ebay for good.

I have just had one of the nastiest, rudest buyers I have ever encountered, which has almost left me in tears.

The auction had only just ended and I received the first of a series of rude and agressive emails.

I thought ' do you know what -  life's too short to put up with this for a few quid'.

So thanks ebay, it's been fun for the last 10 years, but it's over.

I have ebayed a bit the last few weeks and had another non-payer, so annoying. But also have had some lovely reliable buyers.
I'm not surprised this has put you off though, you're right - life is too short to put up with nasty people.

there are some really nasty people in this world and your life is too short to let them in, just put it down to experience and like you say, wave it all goodbye......but don't forget us!!!

If the auction had just ended what on earth were they being rude and aggressive about - if beggars belief. 

If you still want to use Ebay just make sure you put them on your BBL and let name and shame and then everyone can block them as well.

Such a shame because there are some lovely people out there as well but one nasty one can tarnish lots of others. Take care x

Thanks all, I will pop back now and again.

I have just reported the buyer for demanding cheaper postage and  demanding extras (and being abusive when I refused) - not a please or thank you, just accusations and name calling! All of this after the auction ended.   I always try to be polite and pleasant and have great feedback 100% positive and excellent DSRs

I have had communication with this person before, she was outbid on a previous item and virtually accused me of auction rigging because she didn't understand how ebay works, she was outbid by a sniper bid and was under the impression I had told the winning bidder how much her top bid was!  I took quite some time and care explaining how ebay worked, directed her to the buyer boards so she could get a second opinion and even redirected her to the thread when sbe couldn't find it.  She was quite unpleasant throughout, and in hindsight I should have put her on the blocked bidder list, but gave her the benefit of the doubt.

I really don't want to sell to her, you know when you have that feeling......

She hasn't paid yet, and I am sooooo tempted to offer it to the second highest bidder.  It's my last sale so is a strike really going to hurt me, don't think so?

Thanks for letting me vent,   I would never dream of acting like this buyer. Why do some people think they can bully their way to what they want?

Sadly on eBay some buyers do realise that they can call all the shots .....

However just remember that in the past 10 years you have probably had some lovely buyers, indeed far more nice buyers than you can possibly remember.

This recent buyer is in the minority ......

Report them to eBay CS if they are demanding things that are not in the listing, report any aggressive messages too.

If they do pay post out item recorded if viable to allay any possible INR claim and add them to your BBL...

That's horrible Chips, honestly it beats me how some people can be so rude,

nasty, arrogant etc to people who go out of their way to help.  Block her if you

want, after all you've got nothing to lose and tell her why you prefer to sell to

somebody less rude and more pleasant.

There are some lovely people in the world though, including on here.  I understand

completely, life's too short to put up with rudeness and arrogance.  Do come back

and say hi to us from time to time though, we'll miss you.

I've just had another rude email, in which she told me that she's paid (finally).

I refunded the payment, and told her life was too short to deal with rude, unpleasant people like her.

Good for you Chips!  These rude, arrogant people like nothing better than to

put others down but the more we stand up to them and make it clear we will

not tolerate it, the better we will feel and no doubt others around us.  Sadly we

can't stop them being like that but we can stop associating with them.

'You Will send it.....'    erm No, I won't'

'You have refunded the money but If I don't get it in my bank you will pay again' ...... erm. No, I won't.

'You don't mess with me,I will be watching your sales from now on.......'  erm No, you won't.

I'm forwarding them all to ebay.

No, you didn't understand about sniper bids and the fact the highest bid wins, sounds like you didn't understand my 6 emails trying to explain it to you, not all the people on the 'buying boards' who told you the same as I did, but you are maybe  bearing a grudge and this is potential auction wrecking.

your buyer probably grew up a spoilt child, demanding and getting there own way all the time, so knows no other way to live their life. Also some people make themselves feel important by bullying and putting down others. You see younger versions of this all the time in supermarkets - I want that and I want it now type of kids.

Don't let one idiot spoil the experience for you.

On my business id I have had a few idiots and I find that they are all 'keyboard bullies'.

Added to my BBL and I carry on.

I have had 2 that I have refundfed and not sent to and, suprise suprise, not one of them has reprted me as a NPS - probably don't know how.

You have reported so let eBay deal with her.

chips, I would not let one rude, ignorant spoilt brat (which she sounds like) bully me into leaving. In my opinion you have done the right thing in not selling to her.

Why some people are rude and ignorant to someone that is only trying to sell on a few personal items to supplement their income I will never know.

It costs you nothing to be nice and what you get being so in return is beyond price.
