this is humiliating

I've had a fall............I went the loo....the floor is tile. my zimmer frame they gave me has wheels on and it's difficult to turn it around in the doorway. I was showing OH and I must have overbalanced as this plaster they've given me is hoooooge. I fell on my back, I tried to keep my foot up as much as I could. Banged my back, banged my head...even I heard that, and I think I've banged me hoof.....

I'm well heavy and couldn't stand up. I had to crawl to the bedroom and with a couple of cushions and help I got on the bed on my stomach.

I feel so ashamed I couldn't just get up....I think I feel a serious diet coming on in the new year......

should we start a falling down club Stroppy?

Can I join this club too? Though my fall was over 14 months ago. I am still paying for it. I will be off after the new year to see the doc again. And yes, I too could use to loose a bit of weight too.

I am terrible at losing my balance.  Must admit though I've not fallen over for a good while though.  I fell over once and broke my right ankle in three places and I've problems every since.

well I've broken a bit off the thin splint they put in the plaster of paris at the top of my leg, which is good 'cos if I did that I left my bottom of my foot alone. It's stinging so I think I've pulled the stitches...ooops!

my bum aches and my head feels like my eyes are rolling about in a pinball machine hahahahahaaa. OH won't let me go the loo on my own now bless, he's following me round like a mummy cat with her kitten!!!

no Corgi, I've not been sick so I'm not concussed.

er, the only visitor I had was the lady across the road who brought me some roses....does that count?

I too am a faller over - well, more of a tripper.  Basically a klutz

I hope you have not done any damage.  Even if undamaged, falls seem to shake one, don't they?

Falls seem to hurt more than when I was a child, we don't bounce quite so well do we.

Hi Captain, sorry I've only just caught up with this.

I hope you're feeling better from both the operation and the falling over,

honestly that wasn't the best Christmas for you was it?!

However, I never cease to be amazed at your sense of humour - you

have so much to contend with and yet you are always cheerful.

As to falling over, my piece de-resistance was falling out of a bus

I was supposed to be driving, a few years back now!  I was waiting

to leave Leigh on Sea station and just altering the destination blind,

whilst leaning against the little driver's compartment door.  It was a

lovely sunny early evening and the half past six rush was just coming

out of the station and queueing for the bus, the door was open, picture

the scene...

When the bolt on the compartment door gave way and I fell straight out

of the bus door and landed at the foot of the queue of passengers,

knocking the ticket machine off its holder on the way, so that landed

on top of me!  Trying to see the funny side and retain the shred of dignity

I had left, I said "Fares Please" - honestly they didn't know whether to laugh

or be concerned - I said "Laugh"!  I didn't live that one down for ages!

oh fishy, I remember you telling us that in the embarassing thread we had a while back, I nearly busted a gut then...and I'm still chuckling now, Oh I can just imagine it!!!! remember me telling you about the ice and me diving under the mini?

I think this one beats that, but I had more fun with the mini fall than this one!!!

OH and I always see the funny side in things...you have to don't you?
