this is humiliating

I've had a fall............I went the loo....the floor is tile. my zimmer frame they gave me has wheels on and it's difficult to turn it around in the doorway. I was showing OH and I must have overbalanced as this plaster they've given me is hoooooge. I fell on my back, I tried to keep my foot up as much as I could. Banged my back, banged my head...even I heard that, and I think I've banged me hoof.....

I'm well heavy and couldn't stand up. I had to crawl to the bedroom and with a couple of cushions and help I got on the bed on my stomach.

I feel so ashamed I couldn't just get up....I think I feel a serious diet coming on in the new year......

should we start a falling down club Stroppy?

OOhhh FISHY that was funny but i bet it was not at the time. It sounded like a scene from a Carry on Film the way you told it!!!. LOL.

Its embarrassing when you fall over though when your in town ooohhhh gawwwd blimey. You want a HOLE to open up!!!!.

Oh yes Rose, it was funny, it was even a bit funny at the time, though

I guess it didn't inspire the passengers' confidence when the driver

fell out the door before we'd even started!

have to say i fainted a couple of months ago while on the toilet (luckily i was just tinkling), hubby heard the crash as i hit the bath and saved my dignity before the boys ran in.

thanks guys! I think I may have damaged the splint, it feels looser but that could be because the swelling is going down.

my head still hurts a bit but I guess it may take a while to settle.

Roll on Tuesday when I should get my plaster cast....I'll be off like billy whizz when I get that on.....

I hope that you haven't damaged the splint CB.  I can understand why you want the plaster as it would be more comfortable.

I'm trying to be good honest, When I get up of a morning I do potter about a bit in the wheelchair tidying up after OH, he's not managing as well as last time, he's a bit wound up. Then I've been taking down some deccies. I can do a wee bit but my foot lets me know when it's time to put it up as my toes go reddy blue in colour and I get pins and needles!!

Hi CB.  Try and not to do too much.  I wonder if your OH thinks that you are doing a little bit too much and that's why he's feeling a bit stressed.  He's bound to worrying about you ya know.

He's been down for a long time Chris, I think he's depressed but of course he won't admit it. If it carries on for much longer, I'll make an appointment for us to go the quack.

why is it men won't go to the doc's but they're all for us gals going? I can't get him there for love nor money, but this time I'm going with him, then I know he'll be saying the right things. I don't think he asks them enough questions, I guess he's waiting to get out of there

That's men for you.  I always go into to see any doctor with my mum.  It's not that she doesn't ask the right questions it's the fact that she doesn't always listen to the answers.  When we get back home, I get accused of not listening!!!!!!!!!!  Honestly, that woman.
