this is humiliating

I've had a fall............I went the loo....the floor is tile. my zimmer frame they gave me has wheels on and it's difficult to turn it around in the doorway. I was showing OH and I must have overbalanced as this plaster they've given me is hoooooge. I fell on my back, I tried to keep my foot up as much as I could. Banged my back, banged my head...even I heard that, and I think I've banged me hoof.....

I'm well heavy and couldn't stand up. I had to crawl to the bedroom and with a couple of cushions and help I got on the bed on my stomach.

I feel so ashamed I couldn't just get up....I think I feel a serious diet coming on in the new year......

should we start a falling down club Stroppy?

I know how you feel. At least you didn't fall OFF the loo - now that really was embarrassing.

Send your OH on a tour of the charity shops - one of my best aids is a triangular folding zimmer frame, it is firm and steady, but has a smaller "footprint" than a lot of the frames and is good in small spaces. As it folds flat it is also easy to put in the car if I go out. They cost quite a lot new, but if you can find one in a charity shop they are usually less than £5.

Poor Cap'n, just get one thing sorted and something else happens.

Maybe we could get a diet club going, nothing official just helping each other and giving support, I definitely need to loose weight as it doesn't help my back being overweight.

I'm beginning to ache now. I think I'll stay in the chair tonight to sleep, I don't think I could make it to the bed.....

Aawwwwwwwwww CB.  Are you sure that you will be comfortable sleeping on the chair?  I know you feel a fool when you've fallen but it hurts just as much as your pride hurts.

Theres no shame in it capt'n,

my pesky dog sent me down the stairs a couple of weeks ago, she came flying down as there was someone at the door and took my legs from under me and I ended up on the floor on me bum.

All hubby said was you didn't land on the dog did you! at least yours came to help.

Good excuse for room service if you ask me.

Captain hope your ok,,,,,,, think we ought to start a club either diet or falling over as i should participate in the first and am also always doing or nearly doing the second. I was saying to my Brother on Boxing day how i remember my mother always falling down . Down the town in the middle of the road,, indoors everywhere and im just the same. I have got a bit more hefty and i dont think it helps me,, oooohhhhh Captain you dont have much luck. Hope your not too sore?????,. And that your head is ok ma dear??.

I  fainted/passed out whilst on the loo, came round on the floor with a broken collar bone, that was a long time ago

Aww CB dont feel so bad it happens to most of us , im always falling over matchsticks , hope your hoof is feeling better soon 🙂
