Re: gardening....

The weather hasn't been fit enough to any gardening today.  Just wish that the weather would pick up so that we can get some gardening done.

All my crocus as own full bloom, it has been a lovely sunny day here and they looked lovely, especially when I saw a great big bumble bee On them, not sure if it was good or bad to see one so early

Re: gardening....

Steady with the planting ladies, going to be frosty over the next few nights,

Don't we all go mad when the sun comes out.  15 degrees yesterday, 17 today, absolutely beautiful,  I have done a bit of weading, stood all my pots up, rehung the hanging baskets, put down some salt on some pesky weeds on my side garden,  I have done 3 lines of washing in the last 2 days,  swept the front path, and the back path, refilled the bird feeders, mended two broken planters,     oh and just sat in the sun with a coffee and a (naughty) cigarette.

My Daffs are almost over now and so are my crocus,  Blue bells have leaves, have found one or two buds on my fushias, have camelia and forsythia in flower and roses have sprung into life.  Oh my so much work to do.

Re: gardening....

I am not gardening. I am emptying my aquarium as I have decided to get rid of it. It's becoming a chore to keep it up together. Poor little fish are in a bucket at the moment!

Re: gardening....

I pruned my three Buddleia down today too filled my green bin and the neighbours bin as well,  also pruned my roses, probably not the right thing to do but I am sure they will be fine.  Back was hurting and I got shouted at by other half for doing too much, so I went and made a coffee and sat in the chair for half an hour just looking around the garden and making a mental list of all the jobs still to be done. Wow that's a long list.

As an aside, I noticed the blackbirds were picking up twigs and leaves for nesting so I went in and emptied the hairbrushes and brushed the dogs not with my hairbrushes I may add and put the hair on the garden and watched, yes the blackbirds and sparrows came and helped themselves, so a job well done I think.
