Just wondered which adverts on TV at the moment you like and dislike.
Worst one for me is the Mercedes-Benz adverts with the chickens - I just don't get it!
Favourite is still the Maltesers one with the women skipping

I was in Aldi last week and a little boy had picked up that washing up liquid. It looked like he was with his mum and grandma and grandma was a miserable looking old soul (being polite here).
"Put it back, it's rubbish." The little boy held on to it.
"Put it back, I don't want it, it's rubbish". (I substituted the word beginning with "C" that she used....)
The little boy still held on to it and grandma finally said "I don't want it, it's no good, it's rubbish, put it back and come on."
The little boy held on for a few more moments before reluctantly putting it back!
Anyway, I buy it and I've found it OK and good value.

I like the one for Cadbury's chocolate with the bloke chair dancing in the office. I bet he had a heck of a time keeping a straight face doing that ad. He almost bursts out laughing at one point anyway.

Not many adverts are good nowadays - (nope, not even the Meerkats. First one was funny, now they're milking it too much). The old ones, for example, Cadbury's Smash (wth the giggling aliens), Hamlet cigars, Guinness and Carlsberg used to be funny and/or clever.
One thing I do know - I absolutely cannot stand anything featuring the most annoying voice on the planet - Caroline Quention. Also, don't agree with well-known "celebs" putting their faces to a product (eg, Michael Parkinson for some sort of over-50s insurance scam
scheme)! I believe they should only advertise something if they use it and believe in it themselves. So many people are obsessed with celeb culture these days, I'm pretty sure most of them get duped by these personal endorsements.
(One extra comment - I don't quite understand why a couple of people object to ads for sanitary-wear and feminine hygiene products. Approx 50% of the adult population use them, so why would you object to an ad for them? I stand to be corrected, but I believe they would normally only appear after the 9o'clock watershed?? In which case, young children should be in bed by then, and other children old enough to be watching have every right to ask questions and have them answered. That is bewildering. Grown women use them, grown men know we do, so what is the problem? I wouldn't object to seeing an ad for male personal hygiene or medical products. Just my opinion, of course)!

Ohhhhh PAT!!!!!!!!!!!!... I love that advert and i always loved that song ha ha ha...
I like the adverts the two girls do with Maltesers. The Bunny one is good when she says "youve eaten his LEG!!!!!!!!!!. I think they make a good funny duo.
I know the subject has to be talked about and sorted out,,,but the ones with the animals make me sad. When they say things likeAlfie was left outside for weeks or the kitten that is crying in the rubbish bin in the alleyway. Ohhhhhhhh its so sad im getting teary now just talking about it.

I agree with you Pix. Can't see what there is to object too as long as they aren't shown in programmes that small children might be watching as it might confuse them.

I love the Malcolm the cat ad too - he's such a handsome boy! I actually like the Mercedes Benz chickens ad, though I hope its done by CGI (because the poor chuckies are being swivelled around)
My fave is the Cadburys Dairy Milk ad with the 40 something office guy miming to the Baccara "Yes Sir I Can Boogie" tune.
I hate all Boots No7 ads because of the "Ta-Da" at the end (the womans voice really hacks me off) and the current Go Compare coach ad makes me reach for the remote control.
Do you like my snub nosed monkey?
Don't think rude thoughts; it's the cute thing on the left...

Anyone seen the 'Love Honey' sex aids TV ad? Quite unusual for British TV I think.
