Here on the East Coast (Brid) it's very windy but has stopped raining for now. Seen the disruption down South on the news, and 10,000 homes without power; anyone got snow? If so, please send it this way.

I'm always scared when it's as windy as this. The wind is blowing on the back where all the big windows are, and the big trees!
My son is suppost to be flying to Egypt (of all places) on Friday! The forecast isn't too good. I'm glad he did his long car journey to Portsmouth and back last night and not tonight, although he has to do it again on boxing day!

I saw on the news earlier that Portsmouth and all along the South coast had been hit with rain and high winds today.
It's the same here in Somerset, I nearly got blown off my feet earlier just getting out of the car and into the house!

Local paper is doing a "live update" on the weather and trees are still toppling even though the weather lady said earlier we were in a lull(must have been in the city centre then!)

we seemed to have about 40 mins where they gusts were less, picking up again now

Rather wet and windy here with the peak of the storm forecast to be at around 01.00; I suspect I'll be the only one in the area to get some sleep tonight - as soon as I switch off my implant for the night, I can't hear a thing...

Pouring with rain and the rain/clouds are so bad they've blocked my satellite signal.
Windy but not gale force.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

It's been very windy and heavy rain most of the day since about 10am here in Kent.
On my way home from work a tree had come down right across the road, fortunately no cars or people involved. Found a way round through the lanes, running water on the road most of the way.
Got onto the M25 and there was a warning of queues ahead and very fotunately I exited one junction early, as I saw break lights coming on ahead of me and avoided about a six mile queue going to the crossing (as the bridge is closed).
We had a bit of a lull, then it started up again but should be over in the early hours.

Apparantely its phase two of the storm tonight...snow tomorrow so they say.

Lottie doesn't mind the snow, she can't hear it falling. She's on tenterhooks at the moment!

There is a flat roof outside the window of my hospital room. This morning the black roof covering was covered by a thin layer of gravel. There is no gravel left now - I dread to think what has happened to the cars in the car parks and hospital grounds if the gravel has been blowing off the roofs.

Did shopping from mid morning to lunchtime at which point we had gusts of up to 55mph and banners were ripped off our local tesco stores and blowing into people and cars.
Got home ok, battened down the hatches and stuck big heavy stone on the recycling bin lid but people's stuff has been blowing around.
Then started with hard, biting and heavy rain in the afternoon which has continued on and off. Gails died down for a bit but keep picking up again and have just had a real bashing from one huge gust.
Lights keep flickering quite badly too, and surprised the elec supply has still kept up.
Local train services stopped - trees/ branches on the lines.
Gusts and heavy rain set to continue on and off for another few hours then it should calm down.
But then it's forecast to dip below freezing tomorrow evening!

The wind was terrible during the night and we did have some rain but I've known the rain much worse than it was. I think that the rain has stopped but it's still blowy. I can hear one of the fence panels blowing between our back garden and the neighbours back garden.
We changed from S*y for the reason that if it was windy, heavy rain or snow, we wouldn't get a signal. I'm glad we did but so long as we are safe that's all that matters.
Hope that everyone stays safe.

I have relations in Toronto. They've been without power (them and about 190,000 other people in Toronto) since late Sunday, because of an ice storm, and don't expect to be reconnected until after Christmas. It's -13C there, rxpected to dip to -17C tonight.
At least in this country if you live in anything bigger than a village your power supply is underground, I can't see why they can't just grit their teeth and bury their lines, they have outages at least once a year because of weather.

We had strong winds & heavy rain & a roof tile has fallen onto the back garden from the garage block , other than that not to bad . Its calmed down now , even a tiny bit of sun trying to break through.
My chest /breathing isnt good though ive been bad for weeks now & its not getting any better 😞
