Here on the East Coast (Brid) it's very windy but has stopped raining for now. Seen the disruption down South on the news, and 10,000 homes without power; anyone got snow? If so, please send it this way.

It's been like spring again today. In fact I took some photos of the garden. There's a rose still in flower.

I hope the idiot is named & shamed in your local paper.

Another one,
Is it spring yet??

How I wish it was spring CG. It's been cold here today with strong gusts of wind and one hefty shower at lunchtime. We've also had quite a few other showers as well.

The flood sirens have just gone off at Chiswell, Portland & people are advised to go upstairs away from the seaward side of their houses. The only road to Portland is now closed due to the swell going over & through the Chesil Beach. It is eerily quiet with no traffic!

Coastguard helecopter up now looking for something at Chiswell. It has it's searchlights on.

My turn walking the dogs this morning, just got back, soaked to the skin, me and the dogs, hung them both on the radiator to dry,
sorry that should read hung their leads on the radiator to dry, he he he.
Lost our power again this morning for about 4 hours, went off twice the second time OH was in the shower, oh such language, he had to catch a train to Bristol for a meeting so was not a happy teddy. Really wish they would sort it out, nothing to do with the weather we have underground cables it is a fuse or something.
Everything OK on Portland now Patch, saw it on the news this morning.

Yesterday was lovely and sunny here; very cold and windy, but no rain until the evening, then not much. Today looks like it will be the same and our best day is supposed to be Thursday. I keep watching the floods on the news. Then there is also the impact on Farmers and the sheep, horses etc that need grass for grazing, fields all flooded. Terrible.
The floods have a knock-on effect on so many things.

I believe they will have to close the road again today at the high tides. One of the landmark rocks at Portland Bill vanished into the sea yesterday. Po Pom Rock is no more!

There are more 'ancient' stones and landscapes that have been destroyed as well.
Don't know if Durdle Door has survivied but the rock arch at Porthcothan Bay has crumbled.
So many places flooded - huge swathes of countryside.
We have lovely sunshine now but it did chuck it down something awful earlier this morning.

Sorry to read of so many lovely places flooded it must be awful .
Weather here in east midlands is more like April .. sunshine & showers

Our weather was a bit warmer this morning. It hasn't been as windy but we've had a couple of heavy showers separated by some sunshine.
I agree that it's awful when some of the lovely places and landmarks have been damaged. Our weather is bad enough but the weather in America is bad as well.
