Here on the East Coast (Brid) it's very windy but has stopped raining for now. Seen the disruption down South on the news, and 10,000 homes without power; anyone got snow? If so, please send it this way.

Severe flood warnings here in Dorset. The family are driving down from Somerset at this moment. I hope they are being careful.

Really windy and very rainy here in the East Midlands. I felt the car being buffeted by the wind earlier.
My son and his dad have been in North Wales but came back a day early just in case there was traffic problems tomorrow.
Personally I would rather have the wind and rain than the snow

At least it stopped raining here (Merseyside) around mid-afternoon but it's still windy. I've just checked the Met Office and we have a weather warning for strong winds tomorrow and we have also had rain forecast as well.
Hope that everyone stays safe.

We went out lunchtime and the trolley ran away with me and I am so NOT small. OH drove home, parked the car and decided it wasn't safe out there. Waiting for a break in the weather to unload the non urgent stuff! Wind has dropped but local indicators are showing F10!!!. Trees down all over.

Windy and wet, but we always get it being ontop of a hill, at leat we don't flood - if we ever did London would be long gone.
Lucky enough I finished my food shopping today - just milk and cream and some apples which I'd forgotten.
Tesco was heaving and the shelves were empty - no cheese hardly, virtually no veg, no bread apart from the bakery stuff (I fancied some pain au chocolat). The wine aisle was gridlocked and all the manned checkouts had long queues. I went to the self checkout and was out in a couple of minutes.
Thank goodness I have no intention of going out until boxing day as this is forecast to carry on until then in the South West.

Blowing a hoolie and rain too dark to see what else is happening;) it started to get dark at 3.15pm, other side of Dover.

We've threatened with gusts of wind up to 52 mph on Friday so I'm not looking forward to that. Feels sorry for Merc and any one else who has snow. I see it has escaped from the Christmas cards then.

Wet and very windy here (Essex). No major disruption yet but the Dartford
Bridge has been closed since lunchtime so big queues on M25 round here.

wet and windy.. and getting wetter and windier.. some local roads are flooding but we live the right end of a slope so should be ok, The car is parked out the front but if any trees go down they should hit the lorry first, ground floor property so the roof tiles aren't a problem .. alls well in The Chez household.. hope everyone else is ok .

I am on the laptop upstairs and it's quite scarey up here, I don't like it, I might end up sleeping downstairs, the wind is really bashing the front of the house and the rain is horrizontal. Went out earlier for chips because Ihad forgotten to take anything out for tea and there was a lot of standing water on the roads.
Welcome to sunny Devon ha!
I have had enough of this now, but I hear we are to have more on Friday.

It's still blowing a hooley here. I don't know whether or not it's raining. The wind is at the back of the bungalow which is where the bedrooms are. I think sleep will be difficult to come by tonight. Oh how I hope not.
