Hubby thinking about buying me a new one, I have my Renault, which I love, but OH is pushing me towards an Audi A3 - anyone know anything about them?

I got rid of my Audi A4 and got a Honda Jazz. The Audi was fine but I don't like the Honda because it's only 1.4 cc and I've always had at least 2L before. It's like driving a lawnmower. I'm on the lookout for a white Audi3, Merc B class or BMW series 3 but there just aren't any about!!

I don't drive, but I have one of these (with a cream roof) I can't find the photos of her so had a quick Google.

A dark grey metallic Nissan Almera 1.5, 11 years old with 110,850 miles on the clock. Sorry not a lot of use to you Carol but a car to me is a workhorse to get me back and forth to work and I buy what I can afford and does not cost much in fuel because it is almost a 70 mile round trip for work.
If I were you Carol I would read all the reviews and go for test drives before deciding.

mou if yours is in good condition you are sitting on a little gold mine as they are very desirable and can command anything up to about £5000.

I drive a silver Ford Fiesta 1.2 which is 07 reg. We've had the car for four years and it's good enough for me. I mainly only drive locally so I don't need anything more than I've already got.

My OH recently bought me a Kia Sportage 1.7 diesel and I love it - especially the heated leather seats in this weather!

We have 3 cars spread over the family - a red Hyundai i10 auto for our daughter, a blue i20 for my parents and a grey i30 for us.
We are all fairly high mileage users (about 14000 miles a year) and none of our cars has ever given us any problems.
All where purchased second hand and at about 2 years old so we don't get clobbered for the tax (let someone else pay that) and had less than 10000 on the clock when we brought them.
So far ours has done 37000, my parents has done about 30000 and our daughter has done around 50000 miles.
All trouble free motoring in comfort.
Have a look at Hyundai - you will not be disappointed.

I drive a 20 yr old Vauxhall Astra Sport whis is yellow and has done 147,000 miles. I love it and have had
it since it was just over a year old.
I do have a recently bought purple Vauxhall Meriva which I also like but not as much as my old Astra. I'm
doing the Astra up a bit and will keep it I think as it's not worth anything now, only to me.

I have a very ugly metallic green Ford Fusion but it suits my needs. I did have a Corolla Sport which was much prettier. First car was a metallic bronze Mini, second a red Ford Escort, then the Toyota Corolla & now the ugly Ford Fusion.

I seldom drive, but I lease a silver Citroen C4 grand picasso - 1600. Have had it 4 and a half years from new, and it has been fairly problem free. A few minor problems - a sticking electric window, a faulty rear tailgate catch. It is a diesel and very economical to run. I shall have to change it next year, and it will probably be the same car, but an upgraded model as I really could do with an elevtronic remotely operated tailgate. It has always been used as an automatic, but it does have a manual clutchless gear change facility.
"Himself" has a red Chevrolet Matiz - engine size 800cc. We have had it from new, it is 7 years old now, but still in excellent condition. It has been a great little runabout, never any problems with it, climbs hills like an engine 3 times the size. For such a small car it is amazingly comfortable, although somewhat short on leg room in the back.

My son has two Range rovers because they're handy for work as well as being 7 seaters. He only seems to have one out of the garage at a time though as they're always going wrong. His personal car is a Golf and my son in law's pride and joy is an Aston Martin. He only drives that on special occasions!!

A friend of ours has recently bought a new Reault Captur which looks very smart. I don't usually like
French cars but I quite like them, his is in black and cream and looks really quite impressive and funky too.
